Hermès Maison opens first Store in Munich

In February, Hermès will open the first showroom for the German Maison collection in the basement of the Munich-based boutique. In addition, presentation areas in the boutiques of Hamburg and Frankfurt are set up. Besides the well known decorative objects and fine table service customers will be able to discover the extensive furniture collection. Maison Hermès is a part of the re-edition of the simple and modern pieces of furniture by Jean-Michel Frank, a French designer of the twenties, for the Hermès already realized then furniture. With the new edition of timeless leather sofas and club chairs and tables from the small screens and straw marquetry, sweep the house back to its historic roots. 

 

The 21th Century welcomes the luxury label with creations from renowned Italian masters of contemporary design, the pieces premiered at the Milan Furniture Fair 2011 were: Enzo Mari and Antonio Citterio. As a representative of a "rational" aesthetic, which bear on everything superfluous omitted and is always looking for the perfect balance of form and function, their creations the stamp of timelessness, which corresponds to the spirit of the house of Hermès. Enzo Mari has created furniture for office and dining room. Antonio Citterio has developed an exclusive line of living room. The saddle-chair of the designer Denis Montel, artistic director of interior architecture firms RDAI Paris blends seamlessly into the series of contemporary Hermès objects and complements the design of Mari and Citterio. 

 

Together with the existing for over 30 years travel furniture collection, "Pippa", designed by Rena Dumas, all give a coherent contemporary furniture design concept. The collection is completed Maison Hermès with a wide range of decorative and upholstery fabrics, wallpaper and carpets that are manufactured in collaboration with the Italian family Dedar
